Interstitial Festival Audio-visual pieces and excerpts of live events from our first quadrennial (international | independent | interstitial) festival, 2/29/08-3/2/08 We created this festival because we believe that the evolution of art and cinema depends on interstitial works, pieces operating in between and outside of archaic genres, categories and formulas. The next i^3 festival will take place every leap-year in our space in Chicago. It includes work from all over the globe in the form of experimental short film, digital video, performance art, process art, installations, multi-media, hypermedia, intermedia, and especially everything in between. Submissions will be open again soon! Don't hesitate to send us your work in the meantime. B-17: A Mini Epic (Episodes) Sarah and Yumi are top-secret sex slaves for a high-ranking government official. They spend their days in a bizarre play-pen/torture chamber/ slave-labor station, where they produce pro-war polo shirts by hand and live in constant fear. Yumi, having lived in the cell the longest, is almost completely brainwashed and paralyzed, but Sarah still possesses enough spunk to try to escape. Her impulsive scheme is thwarted by a few terrifying obstacles... will Sarah's inner courage be enough to save the day? "Greater Than Less Than: Level 2" (Episodes)
